Less Than a Week
That’s what I’ve got left before I head on off on my overseas trip. I detailed my accounts of my trip to Penang last time I went and I plan on doing the same this time around. I’ll be gone for a week longer this time and it will be a hell of a lot colder too.
Italy and Other
I just found out I’ll be in Heathrow for about 7 hours on the way over so I plan on heading into London to go over to Soccer Scene in Oxford Street to get some West Ham supporter gear. I’m looking forward to it. After that brief trip I’m off to Rome to start the 2 week rail journey up the country until I hit St. Moritz in Switzerland for a week of skiing and recovering from injuries which I obtain while skiing.
Whilst in the italian countryside, I’d like to visit the factories of some small car makers like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. I’m in the process of sorting out the logistics of it all but right now, I’m quite confident of getting it organised. I’ve a pro on the job.
Enough about that, you’ll hear more as I see it.
Festivus
I didn’t post anything over the break simply because I didn’t feel like it. There definitely wasn’t a shortage of material, the amount of fucken idiots that populate the roads was simply astronomical, there wasn’t a day that I wasn’t left completely surprised by the actions of someone clearly filled to the brim with too much christmas pudding.
Mmm, pudding.
This year was particularly good though, because I’m running off to another country, my present buying duties were postponed until I’m away. Not that I have a huge amount of things to buy, I just plan on getting some really good stuff while I’m there. The day of the 25th brought much joy to me as I gorged myself on much crispy bacon, french toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast. I love breakfast, I tell you, it’s my mostest favouritest meal of the day. I rarely miss it. However, I digress. Post breakfast activities included sitting, reclining and channel changing. Lunch came about 1pm and comprised mainly of fish. Also, good. Post lunch activities resumed as per previous to breakfast and thus my day was complete.
I think I visited Paul and Kylie somewhere in there too, it was a while ago.
New Years Eve
This is where the fun begins. By fun, I mean giant glasses of alcohol being consumed at the speed of digestion. I consumed several pints of Gin & Tonic and almost emptied a bottle by myself. Drinks like this consumed in those sorts of sizes definitely don’t get the tick of approval from the heart foundation.
I definitely couldn’t operate any heavy or light machinery.
There was some violent throwing up in the end I’m fairly sure, not only by me either. Hilarious. G. Reg has more details, it was in his house.
Greg was polite enough to hold the event at his abode this year, the only problem was that it was way down there while we were up here somewhere (for those playing at home, I’m pointing to a map right now). I left my house at about 6:30pm and when I got to his place around 7:30pm it had dropped from a sweltering 41 degrees celsius to a more manageable 38 degrees. Clearly a rivene of difference.
Understandably hydration was on the mind of all attendees, hence the throwing up and violent hangover the day after.
We ended up watching plenty of movies the day after, including a mini Bruce Willis festival which is always welcome.
The Beach
This year, along with Kieran, we made a pledge to spend more time at the beach. We’ve easily achieved that with Kieran and myself going to several different beaches no less than half a dozen times since the end of work last year. There was plenty of talent on the beaches at most times, always a good thing to behold. Since it’s been stinking fucking hot most days when we went down there, as the sun was setting was the preferred arrival time which gave a good couple of hours before it was dark and the water was fantastic anyway.
I didn’t even get killed by any sharks.
I plan on continuing these trips down there as often as I can, playing soccer on the sand is also a lot of fun and I think if more than a handful of people went down to Semaphore or Grange then an impromptu game of beach soccer would be a blast.
That’s It
Well, I don’t need to say any more as I’m sure the next month will offer up some tasty treats and plenty of photographic opportunities. Mind the shop for me.
Scotti’ve come to fall back down now, you think it’s over? my time to rise above you

I’m sick of you and your constant obnoxious anti-pudding sentiments.
