Could I be any slacker?
It is difficult to see at the moment how that would be possible. Currently, it’s 1.19pm and I’m still wearing a dressing gown – and I’m not even sick.
I’m now in my second of three weeks of the mid-year uni holidays. I got up this morning, made a cup of tea and parked my arse to watch The Simpsons for a couple of hours on Fox8. One of the episodes was the one where Homer becomes a bodyguard. I love that episode. Anyhoo, after I dragged my arse off the couch, I went to the fridge where I had an FUIC waiting for me. Consequently, the only reason I would have had to go out (i.e. to get an FUIC) was removed and I could then log onto fatloaf to see what you idiots have been up to. As for not getting out of my dressing gown, I have a theory…if I sleep less than 8 hours I deem it not to be a full night’s sleep and therefore I have to option not to get dressed. I have taken that option today. Please feel free to take on this theory – the more of us wondering around in dressing gowns, Big Lebowski style, all the better as far as I’m concerned.
On the weekend, with the help of my lovely assistant, Greg, I bought a laptop. It has all the mod-cons; wifi, keyboard, monitor, mouse. It has Windows Vista on it which isn’t too bad once you get used to it. It’s purty. I figured the laptop would be handy for all that work that gets in the way of my drinking time while at university. Plus, I can spend more time on fatloaf in new and interesting places.
I have just finished listening to Elton John’s most recent album, The Captain and The Kid. I like it a lot. For those of you who like a bit of Sir Poof, I highly recommend it. I think it’s an album in the mold of Goodby Yellow Brick Road and as I like that album, I like this one too. I don’t care what you (mainly Sash) say about my taste in music. Sir Elton Hercules John (yes, that is his name) has great voice nd it’s getting better as he gets older. He was one of the best acts that I have seen live.
I know that this post isn’t in the same vein as my usual ranting-type posts, but I have discovered it’s hard to get fired up while wearing a dressing gown.
Love and sloppy kisses,Grum.
