FATLOAF BETTING – Under 25's – THE LOW DOWN

This is for the bowlers out there, if you’re not a bowler you might get bored if you continue on.. you have been warned, so dont say i didnt warn you..

you are here for one of a couple reasons, you’re lost, bored, insane, mentally disturbed or have followed the links from Totalbowling and want to see whats going on this year for under 25′s? or… all of the above..

right now we are gathering info for an under 25′s lowdown, so if you have information we want it.. so hand it over, im sure we are bigger than you are dont make us hurt you..

ok scott has given you the the real story and ill give you the other real story either way fatloaf is where its happening..

Alright i have as many teams i can get and its about the same as what was in last year.. i will give a brief opinion and my odds on the team.

now my odds are based solely on the potential to take out the whole tournament not just the teams medals but the whole kit and kaboodle.. unfortunately if a centre doesnt have both girls and boys teams they have a little more work to do than those that do. doesn’t mean they can’t win but chances are they’re dreaming. some of these mens teams do have the ability to take medals but i dont think they can take the big trophy. but, we shall see.

I dont have team lists for Port Pirie, Ingle farm and Murray Bridge, which as far as im concerned means they aren’t coming, Ingle farm may surprise me however and enter something like a donkey in the race but it may be scrathed before the event if they show i will start them at 1500/1.

as far as the rest here goes:

Whyalla 1000/1

if they show up will probably look something like last years team of..
Jason Faulds
Micheal Glenn
Martin Roughsedge
Josh Hartman
Now i haven’t heard if these guys are making the trip over this year but i hope they are, they are a great bunch of blokes and always make you earn your points if they dont take them from you, unfortunately history shows that the travel doesnt help them bowl better although there is some talent in the team it lacks a little depth. i look forward to seeing these guys if they show

Barossa: 800/1

Tavis Johnson
Aaron Pelligrini
+2 others

no girls team

just to clear up a little controversy i was bowling for Barossa as of about 3 weeks ago but due to a withdrawal from the village team i was picked up as their 1st reserve Tavis Johnson has since taken my Barossa shirt crossed my name out and written his underneath, probably a sign of where he will see his name the whole weekend – under my name. he teams up with Arron Pelligrini i would say for double and then with 2 others for teams would rate them as an outside chance for a doubles and maybe a singles medal but thats as far as it goes by the way everyone get tavis to show you his new TUFF sticker (a tattoo for those who dont know) he got it last week in an effort to scare people, might have worked if the tat wasn’t of a bumble bee with fairy wings..
good luck to these guys i will be secretly barricking for them on the inside.

Mt Gambier 500/1

Russell Patterson
Andrew Patterson
Adam Wilson
Paul Gifford

no girls team

a few familiar faces in this team some young bowlers growing up should give the old boys a run for their money, the return of paul ‘the giff’ gifford certainly adds some strengh to their line up however i dont think he is enough to get them over the line.

Norwood 250/1

Bradley Tanner
Michael Tran
Tim Tran
Ben Johnston

No girls.

an intresting team considering Norwood had the option of selecting Tavis Johnson, Scott Smith and yours truely but they have gone with a younger team with a little less experience and just may pay the price for doing so, but the tran brothers have been comming good of late so anything could happen and with tanner in the team anything is possibe ;) not sure if the ben johnson they have is the son of billy but if it is, boy is he in for a surprise…

Noarlunga 100/1

Isaac “ben doesnt know his last name” Coolio.
Paul Head.
Ben Onions.
Benny Shearer

possibly a girls team also

anything could happen with these guys you have to rate them a chance as the host centre so i am sure they will have a girls team i just dont know who they are, a couple of faces that have been around before are back but are they back with a vengeance? who knows.. rated a rank outsider as the host centre but i’m looking forward to seeing benny ‘tho fro’ shearer and his mad hair. always a treat.

Marion 80/1

Guys:

Nick Vale
Robbie Lescai
Andre Wise
Levi Edwards

girls incomplete

this team has a bit of experience but perhaps not enough aggression to stamp authority on the lanes, as the second closest to noarlunga the sleep in should work in their favour and having a girls team always gives you more of a chance so i won’t discount these guys, however, the title is unlikly.

Woodville 50/1
MEN
Robert Elliott
Jason Turai
Andrew Kelly
Steven Doecke

WOMEN
Amanda Bauer
Danielle Elliott
Renee Stadler
Kylie Mitchell

a team with experience at alot of levels and has some depth but not enough to be scary. the girls look like they will put up a fight and im sure they will go close to some medals. i think that both teams are a chance and if you have big bad bobba then he is scary enough by himself. good luck to them. and be good bobba

X roads 30/1

Girls
Megan De Leuw
Rochelyn Czabania
Jessica Light
Leah Howe

Guys
Ben Bayly
Dion Alexander
Michael Hosie
Nathan De Leuw

without dion this team will be the smallest of the lot with an average height of about 4ft stuff all this is not going to help them with intimidation but there is enough depth to put the scores up on the boards, lacking the lads from last year i dont think they have the goods to cross the line but i reckon these will be the quiet or maybe not so quiet achievers.. and will give everyone a run for their money.

Salisbury 20/1
Guys:
Darren Hannam
Lee Hutchison
Shaun Wittmann
Richard Skelton

Girls:
Janine Parks
Vicki Hannam
Amy Tiedau
Crystal Myatt

with a couple of old blokes in the team who are no virgins to the glory of this tourny will help this team go close to the mark.. the girls team looks pretty good too and with the return of Janine they might have something to stir the pot with.. however i am picking them to fall just short of glory in Darrens last year but good luck to the big guy anyway

elizabeth 10/1
Boys:
Paul Streatfield
Steven Gaertner
Anthony Hall
Damien Teague

Girls:
Laura Williams
Brittany Brady
Kimberley Inglis
Amy Heib

Coach: Leon Brady
Managers: Wayne Hall + Betty Johnson

ok i have to give these guys a big shot definately because they have a piece of my heart as i have bowled for them many times. unfortunately no room for me this year, i have high expectations for these teams with the big ugly mug of Leon coaching them they will get pushed hard, lets hope for their sake they dont get pushed over the edge.. if these guys dont win it they are going to make the team that does earn it i look forward to duelling with these guys..

OK NOW TO MY HOT TIP, I DONT GIVE HOT TIPS OFTEN BUT WHEN I DO…. GET ON EM!!!!!

Village team 4/1 (favourites)

Guys:
Shane Tunnah
Scott Smith
Chris Walden
Adam Spencer

Girls:
Kelly Foreman
Renee Porter
Laura Esplin
Nicole Williams

I have tried to be unbias when doing these odds but all bullshit aside these guys have the nuts to go all the way, i’m not putting pressure on the lads but i would be looking at this team to set the pace for the weekend. Size, experience, noise and good looks sees these guys as formidable competitors with last years masters champion out to defend his title, Chris Scott and Myself in our last year we will be there to go out with a bang and don’t worry there will be a bang.. a very very big one..
the girls team looks strong too, Kelly and renee will be taking good experience in and laura too, nicole williams is in her first year but she is showing good form and if she is anything like her older brother look out girls you’re in for a battle

well that should just about to do it, no matter what happens it will be a great weekend and something that will be remembered by all. i have included last years final standings for you to compare where your team finishes this year

the final standings from last year are as follows
1 Cross Road
2 Elizabeth
3 Norwood
4 Woodville
5 Salisbury
6 Noarlunga
7 Village
8 Barossa
9 Marion
10 Whyalla

anyway that will do for now, ill see you all tomorrow good luck and dont forget our presents for our testimonial year. :)

spence
